Come celebrate with all the exhibiting artists throughout the Art Trail, the Opening Night for the 2025 Mahurangi Artist Studio Trail.  Get the first look at the Members Showcase Exhibition that will run for the duration of the Art Trail at the Warkworth Town Hall and the fundraising challenge created by Members for the Trail.

This year, Karena is presenting her working studio for visitors to watch her process of making her Burnt Offerings Mahurangi landscapes on cedar board panels or her painted bamboo earth sticks for the garden.

Philippa works as a WOW designer, a painter and with ceramics, collage and quilt design. She is often inspired by nature. With weaving by Diane.

Inspired by life and all its infinite wonder, Mark enjoys working with different materials to create a diverse range of unique works.

Alexis Waterhouse of Kaipara Wild Studios works primarily in Ceramics making both wheel-thrown vessels and hand-built sculpture. She also loves the mediums of glass and wood and is interested in re-purposing found materials and creating beautiful sculptures for the home and garden.

Vivienne's painting are inspired by the beauty of Mahurangi Peninsula, often abstracted versions of reality. She experiments with different styles and mediums to bring colour and energy to her art.

Alan uses mainly native New Zealand timbers to create beautiful pieces that enhance the natural beauty of the wood.

Longtime potter, Elvira enjoys all forms of pottery. Domestic mugs and platters to rustic garden bird baths and sculptures. Elvira also paints and draws using mixed media - nudes, still life and landscapes.

Joy uses wheel work and hand building techniques to create fun, decorative planters, clay balls and domestic ware. Her work explores the use of oxides, clay marbling and colourful glazes.

Lillian is passionate about her family, art and nature. When she paints the world of nature she feels at one with nature itself. This is definitely her 'happy place'!

Sonja is primarily interested in painting the figure and face. She likes to observe people - their complexities compel her to paint what she sees beneath.

Claire Erica paints timeless statement pieces in oil paints on canvas with exquisite detail.

Desiree's art is inspired by life experiences and her approach to life which is to be positive and to uplift others with her work and art lessons.

Lions Club will be providing tea, coffee or juice PLUS 3 items of food for only $10. Select from a choice of sandwiches, asparagus rolls, savouries and something sweet. The funds raised will go to local community organisations which the Lions support, including Springboard, Kowhai Youth Trust, Westpac Helicopter Trust, Women's Centre Rodney to name a few.

The MEMBERS SHOWCASE EXHIBITION celebrates the creativity and diversity of artistic disciplines of the members of the Mahurangi Artist Network, with open studios during the Art Trail.

Yvonne uses a variety of tools and media to create impressions of places, people and emotions in her art in a contemporary way, inviting viewers to form a lasting connection.

Trish works in oils creating a casual soft expression of the seascapes and sky she loves. Her favourite palette is Nordic greys with a dash of bright colour.

Vivienne's ceramics capture the bright colours of nature - flowers & native birds, fired in electric or raku kilns and displayed on driftwood or upcycled copper.

Tanya McCabe creates colourful, quirky and whimsical abstract paintings. She loves to create harmony and contrast between colours, shapes and forms.

Harini creates textiles and hand-woven Korowai with feathers, weaving contemporary pieces developed from her learning of traditional Korowai weaving.

Sharlene works creates flow art; setting pigments in motion to create beautiful art pieces

Ann is broadening her artistic repertoire by exploring water-based oils, adding depth to her dynamic and evolving creative journey.

Talented Brazilian muralist painter based in New Zealand, with a passion for creating vibrant, engaging artwork that combines realist and cartoon art elements to bring joy and inspiration to viewers.

Toni discovered abstract and instantly got caught up in the freedom of this style. Her work is "something that comes from nowhere, allowing people to get lost in their own imagination. She works with acrylic, ink, pastel and spray paint.

Sandra hand builds quirky creates full of character from clay.

Julz discovered glass fusing eight years ago and has since developed her technical skills to make her own design elements for all her work.

Sioux Anich lives in the Kaipara Hills. She gains many inspiring ideas from life on the farm, making for an eclectic variety of work.

Maggie is a self-taught artist, making bright colourful creations out of clay which can be used indoors or out. She is well known for her torsos and totems.

Sue enjoys bringing her inspirations to life creating functional and art pieces using clay, paint and both stained and fused glass.

This year Julia has experimented with painting on carpenters saws, washboards etc. She has also taken a step back and painted seascapes & landscapes enjoying the process.

Sonia specialises in oil on canvas, seascapes and landscapes. Trees are a constant theme of her work and are shown from a birds eye view or anchored against stormy skies.

Inspired by the land, water and coastline, Sally adds mixed media to print and paint. Her works explores design, colour, texture and organic forms on paper, canvas and textiles.

Peter has been 'making things' all his life. He was a manufacturing jeweller in his early 20s and since retiring creates artworks from wood and other materials.

Larraine has been creative in several different mediums over the years, however finds painting the most relaxing. Saws, canvas and wood are her preferred surfaces.

Maureen is a watercolourist and mix media artist. Favourite themes for her are semi-abstract seascapes and landscapes. She has a passion for sketching and teaching this subject.

Jo-ann likes to explore the boundaries and create works that are unique, giving an appreciation of the beauty that surrounds us.

Jonathan Bourla is a fine art black & white photographer living in Snells Beach. Drawn to details and textures, Jonathan's portfolios include Martins Bay and interiors of historic houses.

After a career in Graphic Design, Julia paints in acrylics and watercolour, inspired by local landscape features.

Shelly Gray, Creative Community Artist will be running fun free Upcycle workshops during the trail at Less Waste. Her bespoke jewellery will be on display for sale at Studio 22.

Pamela uses creative visualisations for transformation in her client work. This is reflected in her unique, intuitive style of colourful images intended to encourage self-healing, breathing space and elevate mood.

With an award winning profile in jewellery manufacturing and design, Sarah's timeless creations are crafted using the finest materials, including gold, rose gold, silver, precious gems and other natural wonders.
