Alan has had a lifetime passion for wood in the building industry; and has now taken this love into the art of Wood Turning. Using native New Zealand timbers and other found or salvaged woods, he creates vases, bowls and other pieces. His goal is to enhance the individual features and grains of the wood, allowing each piece to express its uniqueness and intrinsic beauty.
